The Air Jordan 3 is the shoe that kept Jordan at Nike — the first with visible Air, the first with elephant print, and the design that introduced the Jumpman. It is also, right now, one of the best-value retros in the entire Jordan line. Seven of the ten pairs below have traded at or below their retail prices in recent checks, including the most important colorway the model has. These are the ten we would spend money on today.
Resale prices move fast and vary sharply by size — check the live listing before paying. Prices shown are U.S. retail at release unless marked as resale, before tax, shipping and marketplace fees. Confirm the style code, size and condition on the seller's page. This is the Jordan 3 companion to our best Air Jordan 1s guide and best Air Jordan 4s guide.
How we chose: what makes a Jordan 3 worth buying now
We ranked on the same three things as our Jordan 1 and Jordan 4 guides: the colorway itself, the current price against its own retail, and how wearable the shoe is week to week. That is why this list mixes 1988 originals with 2025 general releases. A great new colorway at $150 on resale is a better buy than a famous one at double its sticker, and right now the Jordan 3 catalog is full of exactly that trade.
Two details are worth knowing before you shop. First, heel branding: the OG retros on this list — Black Cement, White Cement Reimagined and Fire Red — carry Nike Air at the heel like the 1988 pairs, while newer colorways such as the Cement Grey and Black Cat use a Jumpman. Neither wears differently; buy the look you prefer. Second, sizing on the A Ma Maniére pair runs through women's sizing with an extended range, so convert carefully.
There is a wider pattern behind these prices. As we covered in the widening sneaker landscape and our holiday 2026 release guide — which adds two more Jordan 3s on November 21 — the Not Nice at $215, plus the Santa, a kids-only release (GS $155 / PS $95 / TD $80) — more releases and more choice mean the patient buyer wins. The pairs below are where that patience pays best.
The 10 best Air Jordan 3s to buy in fall 2026
PICK 01 / BEST OVERALL
Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Black Cement’ (2024)
$220 · U.S. retail · style DN3707-010 · released November 23, 2024
Start here. The Black Cement is the Jordan 3 — black tumbled leather, grey elephant print at the toe and heel, Fire Red accents and Nike Air on the heel, in the shape closest to the 1988 original. It retailed at $220 in November 2024, and the surprise is what happened next: restocks through 2025 pushed resale below retail, with September 2026 checks showing a lowest ask around $189. An icon of this level trading under its own sticker price does not stay that way forever. If you buy one Jordan 3 from this list, make it this one.

Air Jordan 3 ‘White Cement Reimagined’ (2023)
$210 · U.S. retail at release · style DN3707-100 · released March 11, 2023
The other half of the Cement pair, and the brightest shoe on this list. The Reimagined treatment kept the white leather and elephant print of the 1988 original and added lightly aged, off-white midsoles and heel tabs for a vintage feel, with Nike Air branding at the heel. It released March 11, 2023 at $210 and is resale-only now — and the old premium has mostly melted away. Recent checks show asks starting around $140, with many men's sizes at or below the $210 retail and only some sizes still above it. Buy it if you want the classic summer Jordan 3 and prefer the aged details; just check your size first, because this pair no longer automatically costs a premium.

Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’ (2022)
$210 · U.S. retail at release · style DN3707-160 · released September 10, 2022
The fourth original 1988 colorway, and the one purists waited longest to see done right. The 2022 retro was the first Fire Red since the original to carry Nike Air on the heel instead of a Jumpman — the 2007 and 2013 retros both used the Jumpman. White tumbled leather, Cement Grey elephant print and Fire Red through the midsole and eyelets keep it unmistakably Chicago without going full black and red. It retailed at $210 in September 2022; recent checks put resale roughly between $230 and $300 depending on size — a real premium over retail, but a manageable one for an OG colorway done this faithfully.

Air Jordan 3 ‘Pure Money’ (2025)
$205 · U.S. retail · style CT8532-111 · released July 3, 2025
The all-white answer. The Pure Money returned July 3, 2025 at $205 with white tumbled leather, light elephant print and Metallic Silver accents — a colorway first released in 2007 that works with almost anything you own. The buyer-friendly part: October 2026 checks found most common sizes below retail on StockX, roughly $159 to $187 in sizes 8 through 14 before fees. White leather takes more care than the darker pairs here, but at under-sticker prices this is the easiest Jordan 3 to justify as an everyday shoe.

Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cat’ (2025)
$200 · U.S. retail · style CT8532-001 · released January 11, 2025
The opposite of the Pure Money, and the one pair here holding a real premium. The Black Cat returned January 11, 2025 at $200 — its first reissue since 2007 — in black nubuck with dark charcoal elephant print, a black patent leather mudguard strip and elephant print laces. October 2026 checks still had it above retail on resale, with a lowest ask around $243 and a recent last sale higher than that. It costs more because people keep wearing it with everything. If an all-black rotation shoe is what you need, budget for the premium and compare at least two marketplaces before paying.

A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3 ‘While You Were Sleeping’ (2024)
$225 · U.S. retail · style FZ4811-001 · released August 27, 2024 on SNKRS
A collaboration trading below its own retail price is the rarest sentence in this market, and it is true here. A Ma Maniére's second Jordan 3 pairs black tumbled leather with grey hairy suede overlays, Violet Ore details and a quilted satin lining — the label's usual elevated finish — at a $225 retail in August 2024. September 2026 checks found multiple sizes below retail on resale. Note the sizing before you buy: this was a women's release with extended sizing, so confirm the men's conversion on the listing. Get the size right and this is the best-built shoe on the list for the money.

Air Jordan 3 ‘Rare Air’ (2025)
$210 · U.S. retail · style IB8967-004 · released May 30, 2025
The value pick, full stop. The Rare Air mixes black leather, grey suede and hits of Chile Red and Military Blue, with mismatched Nike Air heel branding — one heel reads reversed, a deliberate nod to sample and misprint culture. It released May 30, 2025 at $210, and August 2026 checks had sizes 8.5 through 12 mostly between $135 and $185 on resale, with a reported average sale price around $151 over the prior three months. Nothing else here gives you this much shoe this far under sticker.

Air Jordan 3 ‘Lucky Shorts’ (2025)
$200 · U.S. retail · style CT8532-101 · released February 22, 2025
The story is in the name: Jordan wore his North Carolina practice shorts under his uniform throughout his pro career, and this pair answers with Summit White tumbled leather and soft Hydrogen Blue and Legend Blue accents. Released February 22, 2025 at $200, it has settled well below retail — September 2026 checks put several common sizes roughly between $130 and $155 on resale. It is the calmest colorway here, and for a lot of rotations that is exactly the point: a Jordan 3 you can wear daily without planning an outfit around it.

Air Jordan 3 ‘Seoul 2.0’ (2025)
$200 · U.S. retail · style IB1482-100 · released May 17, 2025
The follow-up to the 2018 Seoul exclusive, released globally on May 17, 2025 at $200. White leather with Sport Royal and Challenge Red, a lightly yellowed midsole, distressed elephant print and a South Korean flag embroidered on the left tongue give it more detail per inch than almost any general release here. Recent checks had many sizes at or below the $200 retail on resale. It will not be everyone's taste — the vintage touches divide people — but as a wearable piece of Jordan 3 history at around sticker price, nothing else on this list competes.

Air Jordan 3 ‘Cement Grey’ (2024)
$200 · U.S. retail · style CT8532-106 · released August 31, 2024
Think of it as the White Cement's easier-going relative. Summit White leather, darker Cement Grey elephant print, Fire Red accents and a black Jumpman at the heel instead of Nike Air — familiar Jordan 3 DNA, softened for daily wear. It released August 31, 2024 at $200, and resale checks have found most sizes below retail. If the Reimagined White Cement's aged finish is not for you and the OG premium feels steep, this is the clean white Jordan 3 to buy and actually beat up.
Find buying links on our picks pageWhat to know before buying a Jordan 3
Sizing is friendly. Jordan 3s generally fit true to size, with a roomier toe box than the Jordan 1. Most buyers stay with their normal size; if you are between sizes, the 3's padded collar makes the smaller of the two workable for many feet. The exception on this list is the A Ma Maniére pair — check the women's-to-men's conversion twice before ordering.
Elephant print is the tell. On resale listings, look closely at the elephant print height and shape at the toe and heel, the heel branding, and the style code on the size tag. The Jordan 3 is heavily replicated; buy through platforms with authenticity checks, and be skeptical of any price far below every other listing for the same size.
Buy the size, not the headline price. The below-retail numbers in this guide are real, but they are size-specific — the Rare Air's $135-to-$185 range and the Black Cement's below-retail asks do not cover every size. Check at least two marketplaces, factor in fees and shipping, and compare the total against retail before deciding a pair is cheap. Our picks page and store are where we keep current buying links and the care gear — elephant print and white leather both reward a cleaning kit — that Jordan 3 owners end up wanting.
THE QUICK ANSWERS
Air Jordan 3 buying FAQ
What is the best Air Jordan 3 to buy in 2026?
The OG Black Cement (2024, style DN3707-010). It retailed at $220 on November 23, 2024, and September 2026 checks showed a lowest resale ask around $189 — the model's most important colorway below its own retail price.
Are any Jordan 3s below retail right now?
Yes — several. Recent checks found the Rare Air mostly between $135 and $185 against a $210 retail, the Lucky Shorts roughly between $130 and $155 against $200, the Pure Money below its $205 retail in most common sizes, and the Black Cement, A Ma Maniére While You Were Sleeping, Seoul 2.0 and Cement Grey all at or below retail in many sizes. Exact deals depend on size — check the live price.
Which Jordan 3 holds a premium?
The Black Cat (2025). It retailed at $200 on January 11, 2025, and October 2026 checks still had resale asks starting around $243. The White Cement Reimagined is the borderline case — its asks now straddle the $210 retail, with many sizes at or below it.
Do Air Jordan 3s fit true to size?
Generally yes, with a roomier fit than the Jordan 1. Most buyers take their normal size. The A Ma Maniére While You Were Sleeping released in extended women's sizing, so convert your size carefully on that pair.
What is the difference between Nike Air and Jumpman heel branding?
The 1988 originals carried Nike Air at the heel. The OG retros here — Black Cement, White Cement Reimagined and Fire Red — restore it, while newer colorways like the Cement Grey and Black Cat use a Jumpman logo. It is a look and heritage detail, not a fit or quality difference.
